Early Intervention

Early Intervention Program

The early intervention program for kids plays a crucial role in supporting the developmental, cognitive, and behavioral issues of a child. It will also help him or her receive adequate support and guidance to succeed in life. These programs are designed to provide resources and support to children required for the development of important skills. The child can overcome any potential challenges they may face in the future.

There are numerous benefits to early intervention programs. As per studies, it has been revealed that children receiving early intervention services are more likely to achieve success in school and later in life. These kids will also develop stronger social skills and have better mental health outcomes. Early intervention programs are also helpful in minimizing the need for more expensive and intensive interventions later in life.

Early Intervention Center

Most newborns are prone to delayed development (physical, mental, or both). There are a number of reasons or factors behind this. In some cases, the issue starts during the mother’s pregnancy. Complications occurring at the time of delivery or after the delivery of the child can also lead to delayed development.

Our Early Intervention Program is focused on helping high-risk babies. It can significantly reduce delays in development. The therapy will also help the child achieve all important milestones appropriately. It will help the child live a near-normal life in the future.

We help the child with the following development issues:

  • Sensory issues
  • Motor delay
  • Congenital or perceptual disorder
  • Communication disorder

The Goals of Early Intervention Therapy for Autism

We offer an early intervention program that emphasizes the following four primary areas of child development:

1. Physical Development

The therapy involves focusing mainly on the physical health of children. The therapist will create a program around the absence or presence of a physical disability and maturation.

2. Cognitive Development

The therapist will focus on the development of the child's language skills, problem-solving skills, and reading and writing skills.

3. Sensory Regulation

The therapist will focus on the capability of children to understand and take control of their own behavior.

4. Social and emotional development

The therapist will work on the consciousness of the child’s own emotional requirements and those of others.

Types of Early Intervention Therapy

Our Early Intervention Program includes the following therapies helpful in varied areas of development:

Occupational Therapy

This therapy is provided by our occupational therapist. It involves offering practical support to children to help them overcome the barriers they encounter in everyday life. The therapist will assess the kid’s condition and understand the challenges faced by the kid, such as gross motor skills, sensory skills, fine motor skills, etc.

Physiotherapy

Administered by a physiotherapist, this therapy works by collaborating with children and their families to discover functional difficulties. The therapy aims at helping kids deal with their physical symptoms and improve functional mobility.

Speech Therapy

Speech therapy aims at boosting the ability of a child to talk and learn other language skills. This therapy helps them express their thoughts. The child will also be able to understand what other people are saying.

In some cases, children may require a combination of therapies (also referred to as a multidisciplinary approach). Hence, if you wish to know more about these therapies for your child or family member, reach out to us now.
